Generation Abandoned: Mini Article Available

In predicting what signs would precede the destruction of Jerusalem (which occurred in A.D. 70), Jesus told His disciples, “You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And you will be hated by all for My name's sake” (Luke 21:16-17).  The sad realization is that, today, families are just as shredded. Parents, especially fathers, have left their children in the hands of grandparents, the State, the neighborhood, or to fend for themselves.  These abandoned children have become “disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful” (Romans 1:30-31).  Their disrespectful attitude is toward parents, teachers, church, Jesus Christ, and even, God, Himself!  “For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children” (2 Corinthians 12:14).   - September 30, 2019
