QA: What To Do In a Change in Government?

QUESTION: What should a Christian do when there is a change in Government?

ANSWER: God's Word helps us make a proper judgment. 1. Watch what they do (Matthew 7:16-20); 2. Only the wicked use violence to gain power (Psalm 11:5; Proverbs 21:7; Psalm 27:12-13; Psalm 55:9); 3. Judge their Judgment (Proverbs 17:13; Proverbs 17:15; Proverbs 24:24-25); 4. Always remember ... Read more of this and other QA at Questions Answered.

New Year Party, Old Year Vomit

“But they also have erred through wine, And through intoxicating drink are out of the way; The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink, They are swallowed up by wine, They are out of the way through intoxicating drink; They err in vision, they stumble in judgment. For all tables are full of vomit and filth; so that no place is clean” (Isaiah 28:7-8).   Is that a good New Year’s Party, or the same sickening vomit of old year’s drunkenness?  Have you noticed the beer commercials don’t show anyone throwing up their beer? The liquor ads don’t show the blurred, distorted vision of the drivers who kill, maim, and destroy innocent people! The bad effects of “intoxicating drink” supposedly “rings out the old, and rings in the new year.”  It’s sickeningly the same, isn’t it? What’s “new?”       - December 30, 2019

Lend Me Your Ears: Mini Article Available

In William Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” Act 3, Scene 2, Mark Antony says: “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.” Why pay attention to this fictional invitation, but neglect to hear God’s appeal: “Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth” (Psalm 78:1); OR to the appeal of Solomon: “My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding” (Proverbs 5:1); OR to the appeal of Jesus Christ: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life”     (John 5:24).

QA: Why Is Everyone Branded a "Racist"?

From Questions Answered: February 16, 2020:

QUESTION: Why does it seem everyone is branded a "racist"?

ANSWER: "Racial discrimination" is racist, nothing else. “Discrimination” is the quality or power of finely distinguishing,” or making, judgments. Making moral judgments based upon what God says, is exactly what God wants us to do. Solomon asked God, “For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" (1 Kings 3:9). Making judgments and discerning on the basis of good and evil is what God's wisdom is all about. ... Read More
