“Do not remove the ancient landmark Which your fathers have set” (Proverbs 22:28). God’s Wisdom plainly states that no one should “plow under” the entire society. Without “history,” details of The Creation by God would be forgotten: “This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens” (Genesis 2:4). “History” shows God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah “making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly” (2 Peter 2:6). A “canceling of culture” spreads “profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness” like “cancer” (2 Timothy 2:16-17). “The wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them” (Colossians 2:6-7). “History” reminds us of what we were, but seek to change. - March 15, 2021
