This time of year, many celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but do not seem to understand some things.  For instance, God's Son was born to a woman who did not believe in abortion.  Though not the "mother of God," Mary was chosen to bring forth the body for God's Son.  "The angel Gabriel" said to her: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35).  Had she feared for her own life, reputation, or future at work, she could have been scared into an abortion, but instead, she feared God.  No righteous person can consistently accept the birth of the precious Jesus and believe that abortion is alright. - December 13, 2021
