"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself” (Ezekiel 18:18-20). Clearly, the sins of the fathers shall not be imputed to their sons.
(1) If a son “shall not bear the guilt of the father,” then no one can “inherit Adam’s sin;”
(2) It is rejection of God’s Word to blame any people today for any “slavery” in the past! Sins of the past cannot justify present hatred and violence! Past lessons learned can promote better behavior in the present. Re-living past slights or hurts, only keeps old wounds fresh in an unloving manner. “Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins” (Proverbs 10:12). - 6-8-2021

Proverbs 21:5: “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty” Work, hard work, and plenty of it is the only way to true wealth. Solomon also said: “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men” (Proverbs 22:29); and,
“All the labor of man is for his mouth, And yet the soul is not satisfied” (Ecclesiastes 6:7).
Without earning our own way, we become slaves.
“The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor” (Proverbs 12:24).
Jesus said there is more to life: "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you” (John 6:27).

QUESTION: What do you think about “reparations” for Afro-Americans because of slavery in the past?
ANSWER: Here’s a lesson on Settling Old Scores: On January 24, 1972, a Japanese soldier, Shoichi Yokoi, was discovered in Guam, hiding in the jungle for 28 years, thinking World War II had not ended! ... 1. If this sounds surreal, today’s world events are simply people “settling old scores” of history: ... If history is destroyed, lessons are lost. (Judges 2:10-11).
