QA: Are People Wrong If They Love God?

In light of the holiday season, QUESTION: Are people wrong who love God?  - February 9, 2020

ANSWER: Jesus Christ is the discerner of who does, or does not, love God. (John 5:42) Since He knows the hearts, the rest of us must be determined by the following: "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments." A Religious Poll: New Mini Article

“And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, ‘Who do the crowds say that I am?’ So they answered and said, ‘John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again’ (Luke 9:18-19).” The opinion on the street was: (1) speculative; (2) divided; (3) wrong! Did Jesus say, “Each one has their own truth?" or “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion?” OR “It doesn’t make any difference what they believe and practice?” None of these. Jesus said to His disciples who had seen His miracles, heard His teaching, and followed Him, ‘“But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God”’ (Luke 9:20). Prayers for unity without accepting what the Bible says avail nothing!
