How hypocritical is anyone who condemns others for that of which they, themselves, have done? Have the “cancel culture judges” never used the words they now hold in contempt? “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one’” (Romans 3:10). Jesus said: "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:1-3). QUESTION: Since "everyone who loves is born of God and knows God" (1 John 4:7), then are homosexuals who love each other "born of God"? - June 2, 2019   

ANSWER: This is a very good question in view of our present society. Presenting homosexuality as an "alternate lifestyle" in schools, popularising representatives in movies, entertaining the idea on TV, or defending as "legal rights" with organisations, have all made this sexual concept sound acceptable. Jesus Christ said: "’Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him.’ And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith" (Luke 17:3-5).

(1) Who are you to judge another person’s heart? Legislation determining what are “hate crimes,” and Media rejecting confession of wrong-doing are contrary to God’s Word.

(2) Jesus said, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”  (Matthew 12:34). We must assume that spoken words are “heart-felt.”

(3) Sin is a violation of God’s Word. Who are you to add arbitrary, man-made “works of penance” to make someone’s repentance to your liking? It is “godly sorrow [that] produces repentance leading to salvation”                             (2 Corinthians 7:10). Repentance is between the sinner and God. - 6-15-2021
